History
Patience Plant Babies seem to have been around from the start of the Universe. They are one of the oldest kinds of Plant Babies. Their original home planet was Zador and that is why the Whydinfeys are so good at the smallest details and don't mind doing all the hours it takes to build a Hovercraft. Patience Plant Babies don't move very quickly, they think things through and care about the others around them. So they don't spread to other planets just to go somewhere on an adventure. They usually go only if someone takes them there or someone really needs them on the planet. But once transplanted, slowly but surely they spread and grow easily.
Locations
Patience Plant Babies will only sprout when the conditions are just right and until then they are happy to wait. The seed pod won't crack open and it will stay the same protective outer shell that you can't open no matter how hard you hit it. It can sit in super cold or super hot temperatures, stay in the hot baking desert sun or be frozen in an iceberg. It can float in the water for years and all of these poor weather conditions don't harm it while it waits for just the right time. The weather conditions for sprouting are right when there are at least 50 inches of rain but no more than 150 inches. There has to be at least 100 days of continual sunshine to get things warm enough to encourage a Patience Plant Baby to crack open their seedpod. A Patience Plant Baby in its seedpod can wait for the right growing conditions for a very long time. The longest waiting period to sprout measured 53 Sarillion years (that's 1,219 Earth years)! However, once it sprouts it doesn't move slowly any more when it needs to do something.

Special Abilities
Patience Plant Babies have the ability to sing a song so lovely, that anyone who hears it can't help but calm down and feel happy. The words of the song are part of the ancient language, but they roughly translate to mean 'Order, harmony, and calm are all around us. Wait and do good and bad will disappear. Time has no limits, truth is all powerful, and joy will come in the morning.' A Patience Plant Baby can change its size if it needs to do a big job. It can grow five feet a day, that is more than bamboo on Earth that can grow three feet a day. It can also change its appearance to stay safe. Like a baby fawn with spots, it can make itself blend into the background so it won't be noticed by anyone with Cloud sickness who might want to hurt it.
Habits
Patience Plant Babies love to help other species and keep them from getting discouraged when things don't happen right away. Sometimes when they are waiting, they hum a little song, this makes the waiting not seem so long.

Cloud Fighting Strengths
Patience Plant Babies are particularly good at fighting Angry Cloud because they don't react to the mean things it says or does. They are also good against Desire Cloud because they don't take short cuts to get what is needed or wanted.
Idea Seeker Partners
Species who are studying to be an Idea Seeker Scribe, that is the role of writing things down for others to read, usually have a Patience Plant Baby. Also, Idea Seeker Cloud Warriors use Patience Plant Babies in battle against the Clouds when they have to wait for the right moment to take action. Spec uses his Patience Plant Baby to help him when he is working out a Plan. Tra uses hers when things aren't moving fast enough for her, or when Riley is driving her crazy with his constant challenges to compete.

They love almost all types of food but they really like Strawberry Sundaes, Cheesy Mushroom Pizza and Scripting Soup (which will fully power them up—to learn more about Super Snacks, click here). They like Special View Glasses because the glasses give them strong anti-cloud fighting power.
Care Tips
Overall Persistence Plant Babies are easy to take care of. They won't sprout until the time is right, but then they are happy with any care they get and are willing to wait if their caretaker is busy and can't get to them right away.
