Forming a Team

How do I start a Team?

  1. Only Idea Seekers (paid members) can start a Team and be a Team Leader. If you are not an Idea Seeker, click here to upgrade.
  2. You can form a Team one of two ways:
    1. Choose one of your friends from your list of friends on your Idea Seeker Home Page.
    2. Click on the "My Home Page" link at the top of your screen to search other Idea Seekers' Home Pages, make new friends, and invite them to be on your Team.
  3. Click on "Add to Team" in the "My Team" section on your friend's Idea Seeker Home Page to invite them to be on your team.
  4. Your friend can either accept or not accept your invitation.
  5. If you accept someone else's invitation first, the invitation you sent to your friend will be cancelled and they will get a message letting them know you are on another team.
  6. Only two Idea Seekers are allowed on each team! Try to pick someone whose Role is different from yours, but can work well together.

How do I pick my Team's animal symbol?

Choosing Your Team Symbol

  1. Either team member can click the Pick New Team Symbol link on their Idea Seeker Home Page to choose an animal symbol for the team. Be sure you and your teammate agree on what animal to choose! Once it's picked, you won't be able to change it.
  2. If you don't pick an animal, your team name will be the first names of the two team members.
  3. Each team will be identified by a special shield or an animal symbol over your head while you walk and talk in the Idea Seeker Universe!

The buttons in blue are that week's Training Mission games. Playing the games fights the Clouds and helps save Sarillion's animals!

  3. Keep in touch with your Team by using the Team Message Board.
  4. Use the buttons underneath your Teammates' names to visit their Home Page, House, or Garden.
  5. Learn facts about your Team Animal and post them to the Team Animal message Board on your Team Page.
  6. Idea Seekers - use the Bulletin Box on the Beach to schedule Team Meetings to discuss how to earn Training Mission points for the Team.
  7. Idea Seekers – use the purple bow buttons next to the Team Friend list on your Team page to send gifts and motivate your Teammates!

What are the Training Missions?

Training Missions are a set of games and activities that earn points for your Team Score. These games help develop the skills you need to defeat the Darkness and his Clouds. There are three places you can go to see which games earn Team Points:

  1. Find the Training Mission flag in the world and click on it to go to the Training Mission page;
  2. Click on the Training Mission from the menu on your Team Page;
  3. Click on the blue bull's-eye button on the Climate Crisis Planet Status screen. The buttons in blue are that week's Training Mission games.

Why should I play the Training Missions?

  1. Playing the Training Mission games affects the Planet Status, fights the Clouds and helps save Sarillion's animals! Check out the Climate Crisis Planet Status Screen to see today's alert level.
  2. At the end of each Mission (every two weeks) the Teams with the top three scores earn bonus Virtual Points! You can then spend your bonus VPs on anything you want-new clothes, furniture for your house, or items to feed your Plant Baby. NOTE-you only earn bonus VPs if you have scored points for your Team! If you have a 0 score, you earn 0 points!
  3. Idea Seekers on the top 3 Teams at the end of each Training Mission are featured on the KidsCom.com Home Page!
  4. The Darkness and his Clouds of Chaos are trying to cause a climate crisis on Sarillion! Playing the Training Missions is our way of fighting back against Angry Cloud, Sloth Cloud, and the rest of the Clouds!

How can I get my Team Friends to play the Training Missions with me?

Here are some ways you can rally your Team!

  1. Schedule Team Meetings in your House using the Bulletin Box on the Beach:
    1. Schedule the meeting for Idea Seeker Universe Time (ISU Time), so everyone knows the correct time to meet
    2. Leave a message on your Team Message Board telling your Team Friends how to find you (remember, if your Team Friends click on "My Friends" and find you on their friends list, they can click the "G" to find you wherever you are in the world-even your House!)
    3. Remember that some of your Team Friends might be new and need help to know how to find you.
  2. Try offering prizes for Team Friends who score the most points! Maybe you could give one of your Team Friends a SnapTastic™ Food by clicking on them in the world or by their name on the Team page and selecting "give gift."
  3. If you need to be a little sterner, you could post a message to your Team Message Board warning your 0 score Friends that you'll remove anyone who hasn't scored points for the Team!

Some of my Team Friends have scored 0 points during the Training Mission, and some other kids want to join my Team. What can I do?

You can remove Team Friends that aren't scoring any Team Points:

  1. Go to your Team Page and find the Team Friend in the Friend list.
  2. Click on their name to generate a pop-up that says "Do you want to remove this Friend from your Team?"
  3. Click "Yes" to remove the Friend from your Team.

How do I Schedule a Team Meeting?

Schedule a Team Meeting using the Bulletin Box on the Beach:

  3. Remember that some of your Team Friends might be new and may need help to know how to find you.
