Adventures of the Idea Seekers: Sarillion's Climate Crisis, Team Challenge 3
Summary
Any Idea Seeker (paid member) who is eligible to participate in the contest and lives in the United States can enter. All kids must get the permission of a parent or guardian before entering. Some states may have laws that don't allow you to enter. We'll pick winning Idea Seeker Teams consisting of two Idea Seekers plus two of their Team Fans (either a non-team Idea Seeker or an Ally of the Idea Seekers) at the end of the tournament. You can win only one prize. Four (4) Idea Seeker Gold Prizes and six (6) Idea Seeker Silver Prizes and six (6) Idea Seeker Bronze Prizes will be available. For the Idea Seeker Gold Prize, we will pick one (1) winning Idea Seeker Team (consisting of two Idea Seekers) and two (2) winning Idea Seeker Fans from the winning Team. For the Idea Seeker Silver and Bronze Prizes, we will pick three (3) Idea Seeker Teams. The two Idea Seekers on these teams will win the Idea Seeker Silver Prize and two (2) Idea Seeker Fans from each of these teams will win the Idea Seeker Bronze Prize. Winners will be selected on March 17, 2008 and notified by e-mail or phone call on March 18, 2008. Winners will be announced on the KidsCom® Web site (www.kidscom.com) as soon as parental or legal guardian permission is received.
Each Idea Seeker Gold Prize winner will receive a trip to Washington D.C. on April 17-20, 2008 for the winner and one parent/legal guardian (approximate value of each prize: $3,000 depending on airline fares) to learn more about climate change on Earth and a handheld GPS device. Each Idea Seeker Silver Prize winner will receive a Prize Pack (approximate value of each prize: $35). Each Idea Seeker Bronze Prize winner will receive a three-month Idea Seeker membership on KidsCom.com (value of each prize: $21).

Eligibility. This contest begins at 8 a.m. US Central Standard Time on February 14, 2008 and all entries must be received by 11 p.m. US Central Standard Time, Sunday night March 16, 2008 (the "Contest Period"). This contest is open only to certain legal residents of the United States (residents of Rhode Island are not eligible to participate), ages 8 - 14, who are each an Idea Seeker (a paid member) or an Ally of the Idea Seekers (free membership) on KidsCom.com and who have not won an Idea Seeker Gold Prize from KidsCom.com in the past year. If you are otherwise eligible and wish to enter and you do not have access to the internet, you may print your name, address, city, state, zip, daytime area code and telephone number, age and e-mail address (if any) on a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of paper and insert such entry into an envelope, affix postage and mail to: Circle 1 Network®, 131 West Seeboth Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204 [Attention: Team Challenge]. Non internet written entries must be received by KidsCom.com before the end of the Contest Period. Eligible entrants may use either the internet method or written method of entry. To be eligible to win a prize, you must have completed either the Idea Seeker registration or the Ally of the Idea Seekers registration (either online or in written form) and have participated in the Adventures of the Idea Seekers: Sarillion's Climate Crisis, Team Challenge activities.
Restrictions on Eligibility. This contest offer is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries submitted by a single entrant, whether via internet or written entry are void. Your entry means you are certifying that you meet all eligibility requirements of this contest and that you acknowledge compliance with these official rules. Entries that do not receive permission from a parent or legal guardian are void. Internet entrants must either be the registered subscriber or the child of a legal parent or guardian who is the registered subscriber of the e-mail account by which the entry is made. To be eligible to win a prize, you must provide complete information on the Idea Seeker or Ally of the Idea Seeker registration (either internet or written) forms. Incomplete registrations are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor. Employees of Sponsor and their respective agencies and their immediate families or those residing in the homes of each are not eligible to participate or win. Sponsor and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and respective employees, or any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, nor are they responsible for submissions or entries that are incomplete, delayed, illegible, garbled, misdirected or interrupted or unavailable network connections or Internet transmissions for any reason or for any computer, phone or phone line hardware of software malfunction, failure or error of any kind, whether electronic, human or mechanical, or late, lost, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries. Proof of e-mailing or mailing does not constitute proof of delivery. Any attempt to interfere with this promotion results in automatic disqualification.
How to Enter. Be a fully registered Idea Seeker (paid membership) or Ally of the Idea Seekers (free membership). Idea Seekers must form teams of two (2) kids and complete the following:
- Expeditions 9, 10 and 11
- Earth Day Card entry
Idea Seekers who are not on teams and Allies of Idea Seekers can become Idea Seeker Team Fans and complete the following to enter:
- Expeditions 9, 10 and 11
- Earth Day Card entry
Contest and Awarding of Prizes. The winning Idea Seeker Teams will be selected based on the Team Score and Earth Day Card entry. The Team Score is based on:
- Virtual Points earned by Team members and Team fans completing the Expedition steps
- Bonus Points earned by Team members and Team fans keeping their Plant Babies powered up
- Bonus Points earned by Team members for giving specified virtual gifts and unclouding their Team fans
- Earth Day Card entry score for Team members and Team fans
Earth Day Card entries will be judged on originality, creativity and relevance to the climate change theme by Sponsor, whose decisions and interpretation of these official rules are final in all matters relating to this contest. In the event of a tie between Idea Seeker Teams, the winners will be randomly selected from the tied teams. The winning Idea Seeker Team Fans will be randomly selected from all fans of the winning teams.
Prize winners will be notified by e-mail or phone on or about March 18, 2008. To claim a prize, winners should follow the instructions contained in their notification. Prizes returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within 3 days of delivery of notification will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
All Earth Day Card entries become the property of Sponsor. By submitting an entry you agree that Sponsor shall have the right to copy, display, adapt, modify, distribute and otherwise use in any fashion the concepts which are submitted. Sponsor shall have no obligation to acknowledge or attribute the authorship of any concept designs.
Prize acceptance constitutes permission to use winners' names, addresses and/or likenesses for advertising purposes in all forms of media worldwide without further compensation or payment except where prohibited by law. All prize fulfillment will be handled by Sponsor.
Prizes. A total of four (4) Idea Seeker Gold Prizes will be awarded to (i) one Idea Seeker Team (each team consists of two Idea Seekers) and (ii) two Idea Seeker Fans. A total of six (6) Idea Seeker Silver and six (6) Bronze Prizes will be given to three Idea Seeker Teams (each team consists of two Idea Seekers) and two Idea Seeker Fans from each team.
Idea Seeker Gold Prize: Each winner will receive a trip to Washington D.C. for themselves and a parent/legal guardian to visit destinations to learn about climate change. Each winner will also receive a handheld GPS. Each prize will consist of two round-trip airfares from airport near winner's home, as selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, 3 nights lodging on April 17, 18, 19, 2008 as selected by Sponsor in their sole discretion, event tickets, selected by the Sponsor, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners and elements of ground transportation. Details of the trip itinerary are subject to change. All additional costs, including any tax liability, are the sole responsibility of the winner and parent/legal guardian. Travelers are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including passport, if necessary. Tickets are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, are subject to terms and conditions of use as stated thereon, and are not to be combined with any other offer. Travel and lodging must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor. Only one prize will be awarded per person, family, household or e-mail address. All Idea Seeker Gold Prizes must be accepted and used April 17-20, 2008. Approximate Value of the Idea Seeker Gold Prize is $3000.
Idea Seeker Silver Prizes: Each Idea Seeker team member of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams (6 Idea Seekers total) will receive a Prize Pack with a plush frog, KidsCom.com t-shirt, Hope Plant BabyTM Keychain, KidsCom.com pencils and other items. Approximate Value of the Idea Seeker Silver Prize is $35.00.
Idea Seeker Bronze Prizes: Two (2) Idea Seeker Fans of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams (6 fans total) will receive a three-month Idea Seeker Membership to KidsCom.com. Value of the Idea Seeker Bronze Prize is $21.00.
Odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries. All taxes on prizes, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of winner. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions for prizes are permitted, except at the option of Sponsor, in which case a prize of equal value will be awarded. Prizes returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within 3 days of delivery of notification will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Since all entrants will be minors, prizes won will be awarded to his/her parents or legal guardian.
Odds of winning. Odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries received.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest for any reason, including but not limited to if a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond Sponsor's control inhibit or corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the contest, and Sponsor may disqualify any person who engages in or attempts any such activity.
